The Event will begin on Sunday 30th August 2020 and will run for 4 weeks finishing on Saturday 26th September 2020 results will be announced on Sunday 27th September.
During the event you will need to walk any distance up to a total of 42 Miles (you choose when and where you want to do this) and complete several challenges which will be released over the course of the event. At the end of each week you will submit the date, mileage and time taken to walk however far you manage for which you will receive points which when added to points gained for completing the challenges will give you an individual total. Details of the scoring system will be released at the start of the event.
There are 2 sections, A Junior Section for under 10's and a Senior Section for 10 years and above.
All participants will be entered as Individuals. However, it is still possible to form a Family or Virtual Team of min 2, max 7 people which will be entered into a separate Team Section where the points from each member will be averaged, giving an overall score for the Team. Teams can be made up from the Junior section, Senior section or mixed across both sections (this allows a family to take part together).
When taking part all entrants are expected to comply with the latest Government and Scout Association advice with regards to the Covid 19 pandemic, the number of people meeting up and Social Distancing.
